I started off wanting to be a scientist like my Dad. I completed a science degree and got a job in research at Auckland University. I joined collegues for runs, swims, tennis, aerobics and discovered a passion for exercise. After 6 years of research and having a family I decided to follow my new found passion and did a Diploma of Fitness Training. After some gym experience I set up a private fitness studio. I was introduced to Pilates shortly afterwards and completed a Certificate in mat based Pilates. More recently I have become interested in the therapeutic approach of Pilates that focuses on overcoming aches and pains from poor posture, tight and/or weak muscles, old injuries, etc. My goal is to help clients to feel better in their bodies as they work towards reaching their fitness goals.
